It was a beautiful spring day for a south Austin wedding. Taylor & Jeff’s wedding day was every bit as elegant as it was comparatively trendy. The venue, the details, the food, coupled with the smiling faces were all equally important in how great of a wedding it was. As a result, our team couldn’t be more thrilled to have been a part of the celebration with our variety band.

Beautiful South Austin

Mattie’s Green Pastures was where the wedding ceremony & reception took place. The grounds were alluring with its lush landscape, towering cypress trees & occasionally peacock sighting. As an illustration, Mattie’s is a 75-year-old historic restaurant & venue sitting on 6 acres of land in South Austin. Although, rich with history Mattie’s has been restored to add modern touches to match its historic Southern charm. We can’t say enough about how picture-perfect Mattie’s was. It’s the ideal venue close to all Austin’s action but quaint enough to make you feel like your far away.

Style & Sweet Tooth

Michelle’s Patisserie sprinkled even more sweetness onto the wedding day. Similarly to other vendors, Michelle’s Patisserie has been serving the Austin, Texas area for over 12 years with high praise. Her custom wedding cake & pastries are a work of art & were absolutely delicious. Parrel to other vendors, Stem Floral worked their magic to make the venue even more of a sight to behold. Lavishly decorated with stunning white flowers & pops of gold & green, by and large. In detail, Stem Floral is a full-service design studio who specializes in floral and event styling out of the greater Austin area.

Dance Party

In summary, it was a pleasure to share in the memories of Taylor & Jeff’s big day. As their Texas wedding band, we had a blast playing the best dance songs from Motown/Soul eras all the way through 80’s, 90’s, ’00s & today’s top 40. With 5+ years of wedding band experience, custom personalizations & back to back dance medley’s our wedding band creates the non-stop dance party every wedding deserves. Our team at Uptown Drive enjoyed packing the dance floor through the course of the night for the happy newlyweds and wedding guests.
