Houston Wedding Band plays historic venue

It was a spectacular wedding at the Historic Crystal Ball at the Rice in Houston. For this purpose, we are taking a look back at the time our wedding band was invited to play for our bride & groom, Muriel & Allen’s big day. Old Age Charm

To summarize, the Crystal Ballroom at the Rice is one of the most well-known event facilities for weddings in the Houston, Texas area. We loved the crystal chandeliers hanging from the 30-foot high ceilings as well as stunning murals throughout the venue along with a gorgeous outdoor terrace. Built as the Rice Hotel in 1913, the Crystal Ballroom has plenty of old age charm. To sum up, the buildings vintage style & timeless beauty made for the perfect location for Muriel & Allen’s Houston wedding day.

Design & Management

The entire team at Events By Sarah worked hard to plan out all the wedding day logistics to make the day carefree, in brief. They are one of the top event coordinators in Houston and for good reason. Our wedding band loved working alongside Taylor Johnson who made sure to map out each detail of the wedding timeline. Events by Sarah works closely with the bride & groom to translate each couple’s vision to the venue. Through their event design, they made sure to customize the venue with all of Muriel & Allen’s dream touches. The venue looked absolutely incredible!

The bride & groom brought along award-winning & fine art wedding photographer Kelly Hornberger to capture their big day. Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, The Knot & many more publications have featured Kelly Hornberger’s work. It was indeed a pleasure to see this world-renowned photographer right in the action for each intricate detail of the wedding all night long.

Live Music & Emcee

We couldn’t have been more pleased to be a small part of Muriel & Allen’s wedding day by playing live music. To summarize, our Houston wedding band soured through the decades showcasing our musicianship & setlist featuring a wide range of genres. You’ll hear songs from Motown, Soul, 80s Hits, 90-00s Hits, and R&B, Classic and Modern Country to today’s top 40 and more.

As a customer service driven team our wedding band worked specifically with the bride & groom. Together we curated the night’s performance around the Muriel & Allen’s vision. Our favorite part of the night was when the bride & groom joined our wedding band on stage for the final song. It is true, our crew takes a great deal of time to work through each night’s timeline, flow & emcee script which allows the night to flow with success. So that is why we are voted one of the top-rated Texas wedding bands in Austin, Houston, Dallas & San Antonio.
